Academic year 2025/2026
You are cordially invited to read the Rector's Order No. 148 dated 05.05.2025 on the division of the academic year 2025/2026.
Winter semester
The first semester (winter) lasts from 1 October 2025 to 22 February 2026.
Ceremonial inauguration of the academic year (on): 1 October 2025;
Faculty inauguration of the academic year (till): 1 October 2025.
Teaching classes start on 2 October 2025 and continue until 25 January 2026;
Days off from teaching:
- 31 October 2025 - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- 2 November 2025 - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- from 23 December 2025 to 6 January 2026 - winter holiday break,
- from 9 to 15 February 2026 - inter-semester break.
Winter examination session: from 26 January to 8 February 2026.
Winter retake examination session: from 16 February to 22 February 2026.
Electronic records after the winter session will be automatically closed by the USOS system on 22 February 2026 at 23:59.
Summer semester
The second (summer) semester runs from 23 February to 30 September 2026.
Teaching classes start on 23 February and continue until 14 June 2026;
Days off from teaching:
- from 1 to 7 April 2026 - Spring holiday break,
- 2 May 2026. - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- one Friday in May - Rector's Day on the occasion of Students' Days (full-time and part-time studies),
- 25 May 2026 - Rector's Day on the occasion of the University of Łódź Feast (full-time and part-time studies),
- 6 June 2026 - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies).
Summer examination session: from 15 June to 5 July 2026.
Break for summer holidays, study camps, internships, etc.: from 6 July to 30 September 2026.
Academic year 2026/2027

Winter semester
The first semester (winter) lasts from 1 October 2026 to 21 February 2027.
Ceremonial inauguration of the academic year (on): 1 October 2026;
Faculty inauguration of the academic year (till): 1 October 2026.
Teaching classes start on 2 October 2026 and continue until 24 January 2027;
Days off from teaching:
- 31 October 2026 - Rector's Day (part-time studies),
- 2 November 2026 - Rector's Day (full-time studies),
- from 23 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 - winter holiday break,
- from 8 to 14 February 2027 - inter-semester break.
Winter examination session: from 25 January to 7 February 2027.
Winter retake examination session: from 15 February to 21 February 2027.

Teaching classes start on 22 February and continue until 13 June 2027;

- 2 May 2027 - Rector's Day (part-time studies),
- one Friday in May - Rector's Day on the occasion of Students' Days (full-time and part-time studies),
- 16 May 2027 – day off on the occasion of the Feast of Pentecost (part-time studies),
- 24 May 2027 – Rector’s day, University of Lodz Celebration (full-time and part-time studies),
- 28 May 2027 – Rector’s day (full-time and part-time studies).
Summer examination session: from 14 June to 4 July 2027.
Break for summer holidays, study camps, internships, etc.: from 5 July to 30 September 2027.
