The mission of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology UL

The mission of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Lodz is to create social processes by creating and disseminating knowledge to ensure the development of students (by caring for didactic solidity and creating an attractive study space), faculty employees (by striving for scientific excellence and ensuring attractive working conditions) and entities operating in its socio-economic environment (through openness to cooperation and exchange of experiences).

The vision of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology in 2022+

• the Faculty as a significant and recognizable economic and sociological thought research centre; 
• the Faculty as an influential national-scale centre, providing economy, society and sustainable development expertise;
• the Faculty recruiting and educating best graduatues of Polish high schools as well as a significant proportion of foreign students;
• the Faculty preparing graduates to the requirements of a dynamic labour market with simultaneous sensitivity to social problems;
• the Faculty supporting employees` development - a friendly workplace for outstanding researchers and academic teachers;
• the Faculty playing a role of an animator of cooperation with the local business and social environment;
• the Faculty that is an attractive venue located in the centre of the city, open to social and cultral initiatives.
