    About the program

    International Summer School is a series of scientific seminars organised by the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz. Lectures and debates conducted in English are attended by students and lecturers from Europe, South America and Asia. The seminars participants discuss economic and social problems, as well as issues related to ecology and sustainable development. Students receive 6 ECTS credits for participating in debates and lectures.

    • Delivering a series of classes in a hybrid mode within the modules:

    Module 1: Climate change - it does exist

    Module 2: Society and economy towards climate change

    Module 3: Sustainable development

    • Implementation of educational and integration events - participants will be able to take part in a virtual walk around Lodz and Poland prepared for them; participants will also be invited to a virtual piano concert of Polish music; moreover, a group on FB will be created for participants, which will serve as a platform for integration and exchange of knowledge and experience.

    Assumptions:

    • Delivering a series of online classes as part of the modules:

    Module 1: Organisation of the public health care systems;

    Module 2: The impact of common shocks on mental well-being and lifestyles of the society / The impact of common shocks on mental well-being and lifestyles of the society;

    Module 3: Global response to global challenges; 48 class hours (lectures/workshops/seminars) will be provided and discussion sessions will be organised after the class.

    • Implementation of educational and integration events - participants will be able to take part in a virtual walk around Lodz and Poland prepared for them; participants will also be invited to a virtual piano concert of Polish music; moreover, a group on FB will be created for participants, which will serve as a platform for integration and exchange of knowledge and experience.
