For Those Who Want to Develop Their Teaching Practice
Teaching Week comprises five days of meetings, workshops, consultations and inspiring discussions for academic teachers and doctoral students. It is a space for exchanging experiences, exploring new teaching methods and seeking solutions to the challenges currently faced by higher education.
The event will provide an opportunity to learn how to:
- engage students in a topic and maintain their attention,
- use artificial intelligence as a tool supporting the teaching process,
- deliver classes in a more activating and participatory way,
- design assignments and assessments that reflect contemporary realities,
- develop one’s own teaching competences,
- teach effectively while also finding satisfaction in academic work.
Learn from Experts
The programme features sessions led by respected experts specialising in the development of academic teaching.
Participants will discuss topics including active learning, new technologies, artificial intelligence, quality of education and teaching responsibility. The programme will also offer practical guidance for everyday work with students.
Inspiration from Within the University
Teaching Week is not limited to presentations delivered by invited experts. Academic teachers and doctoral students from the University of Lodz will also contribute to the programme by sharing proven solutions they use in their own classes.
It is an excellent opportunity to discover good practices implemented across different faculties and to build connections with colleagues facing similar teaching challenges.
Learning by Doing: Practice-Oriented Workshops
Workshops designed to help participants acquire new skills through active involvement occupy a special place in the programme.
One such session is "Projekt Jajecznica – podstawy zarządzania projektami w praktyce” [“Scrambled Eggs Project – Fundamentals of Project Management in Practice], led by Dr Karolina Rudnicka, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz (University of Lodz). The workshop will introduce participants to the basics of project management in an accessible and engaging way, demonstrating how to plan activities, organise teamwork and successfully achieve intended objectives. It is aimed at anyone wishing to develop competences useful both in teaching and in other areas of academic activity.
Take Away More Than Notes
After Teaching Week, participants will return to their classrooms with new ideas, tools and inspiration. Above all, however, they will gain a fresh perspective on learning and teaching and an opportunity to play an active role in shaping modern, open and personalised academic education.
