The UniLodz researcher will coordinate the work of an international team of researchers and experts. This is one of the key positions within the Action’s structure and involves shared responsibility for achieving its scientific objectives. Leading a Working Group also supports the development of cooperation with international research institutions and strengthens the presence of the University of Lodz in the international scientific community.
COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is one of the longest-running European initiatives supporting scientific cooperation and the development of international research networks, funded by the European Union. COST Actions bring together researchers and practitioners, foster scientific cooperation and networking, as well as facilitate knowledge exchange, training, research mobility and the development of long-term international partnerships.
As part of the INCLUDE Action, which will run for four years, joint research will be conducted on models and practices of communication related to environmental and social challenges, with a particular focus on education, media, disinformation and civic participation. The “Education, Youth and Ecopedagogy” Working Group will focus on comparative research into environmental education, environmental and media literacy, the communication needs of young people, and ecopedagogical practices across different countries and educational contexts. Researchers will analyse similarities and differences between countries, barriers to access to education and information, and ways of engaging young people and educators in communication related to environmental and social challenges.
