As a result, the faculty has become a part of the prestigious EFMD Global Network, which brings together leading universities, business schools, educational institutions and companies from around the world.
The decision to grant membership was approved by the EFMD Global Membership Committee during its meeting on 1 June 2026, and the membership has been effective since 8 June 2026. The faculty’s admission to the organisation confirms its commitment to the development of high-quality education, internationalisation and the continuous enhancement of educational and management standards.
EFMD Global is one of the world's most prestigious organisations bringing together universities, business schools and institutions cooperating with the management education sector. The organisation supports the development of higher education through the exchange of best practices, international cooperation, the organisation of conferences and development programmes, as well as the promotion of the highest quality standards.
Membership in the EFMD Global and inclusion in the EFMD Global Network open up new opportunities for the faculty to cooperate with partners from across the globe, participate in international initiatives, projects and events organised by the EFMD network. It also represents another important step in strengthening the international standing of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology and confirms its active commitment to the development of modern education, research excellence and collaboration with the international academic community.
Joining EFMD Global also marks the beginning of the faculty's efforts to obtain the prestigious EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation. EQUIS accreditation is one of the most highly regarded distinctions worldwide, confirming the highest standards in education, research, internationalisation and engagement with the socio-economic environment. The launch of the accreditation process constitutes an important element of the faculty's long-term development strategy and a further step towards strengthening its position within the international academic community.
