The thesis entitled "Jakość życia a forma urbanistyczna osiedla mieszkaniowego. Studium porównawcze łódzkich osiedli Radogoszcz Wschód i Radogoszcz Zachód" [Quality of life and the urban form of a housing estate. A comparative study of the Radogoszcz East and Radogoszcz West housing estates in Lodz] was written by under the supervision of Dr Jakub Zasina at the Department of Regional Economics and the Environment.
The aim of the thesis was to determine the role of the urban form of housing estates in shaping the quality of life of their residents. The Radogoszcz housing estate in Lodz served as the subject of her own research. This estate is divided into Western and Eastern parts, dominated by solutions from two different trends in urban planning: modernism and postmodernism. One of the research tools used by the author to examine the quality of life was a survey conducted among the local community. As the author states in the work: "[...] in most cases, residents of the Radogoszcz Wschód housing estate demonstrated greater satisfaction with various aspects of life in the estate and with its urban form. However, as the respondents' responses showed, the perceived level of overall life satisfaction among residents of the Radogoszcz Wschód and Radogoszcz Zachód housing estates differ only minimally. Therefore, it is difficult to speak of a direct impact of the urban form of both estates on the declared level of overall quality of life of their residents."
