Japan is wating! Josai Central European Exchange Programme - call for student applications

Are you interested in Japanese culture? Is your dream to go on an exchange programme and improve your Japanese language skills while there? Applications are open at the University of Lodz until 9 April 2026 for the Josai Central European Exchange Programme, which offers students the opportunity to participate in a one-year exchange at one of two universities – Josai University (JU) or Josai International University (JIU) – starting from September 2026.

Apply if:
• you are currently enrolled in a full-time degree programme (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and you will be a UniLodz student in the 2026/2027 academic year,
• you have a command of Japanese at JLPT N1 or N2 level (if you do not have a certificate, please contact a lecturer from your faculty, who will confirm your proficiency in Japanese at the required level),
• you are able to start your exchange in September 2026.

Faculty of Management
Japanese Studies Program (Bekka) – non-scholarship option/ for students with JLPT N5~N3 level of English (beginner)

Josai International University (JIU):
Faculty of International Humanities
Faculty of Tourism
Faculty of International Humanities – non-scholarship option
Faculty of Tourism – non-scholarship option

Required documents:
• application form (available here),
• recommendation letters from two instructors from your UniLodz faculty,
• application essay,
• Transcript of Records.

The number of spots for the exchange programme specified by the partner universities (Josai University oraz Josai International University) is 20 The final selection of participants is made by partner universities. 

The deadline to send the complete application documents is 9 April 2026, 12:00 p.m. (noon). 
If you miss this deadline, your application will not be accepted.
