The workshop will equip you with knowledge on how to:
- cooperate with organisations and residents outside large cities,
- design courses in which students solve real problems rather than only complete theoretical exercises,
- run such projects remotely,
- build lasting relationships between the university and local communities.
The workshop will be led by Dr Nives Mikelic Preradovic from the University of Zagreb, an expert in e-Service-Learning, a methodology that combines learning with civic engagement through the use of digital tools.
The workshop will have a practical focus. In addition to short introductory presentations, participants will take part in small-group work and a moderated discussion.
Participants will have an opportunity to exchange experiences with representatives of partner universities of the UNIC Alliance, develop ideas for strengthening cooperation with local communities and learn about good practices related to socially engaged education.
Before the workshop, participants will also be required to complete a short task on the University of Zagreb platform, which will take no more than 45 minutes.
