Student Dormitories Through the Eyes of Their Residents
During the Open Days, visitors were able to look inside selected dormitories and see what the rooms and shared spaces are like. Guided tours of the estate were led by its residents themselves, who shared their experiences and answered questions from those interested in living at Lumumbowo.
The event offered an opportunity to discover the dormitories not only through their physical spaces but, above all, through the perspectives of the people who use them every day. Conversations with residents allowed visitors to gain practical information and learn about a variety of experiences connected with life on the estate.
Lumumbowo Is More Than Just a Dormitory
The Open Days also demonstrated that the UniLodz Student Dormitories are not only a place to live, but also a community created by the UniLodz students. Shared spaces encourage social interaction, the formation of new friendships and integration among students from different study programmes and backgrounds.
Following the tours, there was plenty of time for conversation and relaxation in a more informal atmosphere. It was an additional opportunity to meet people living at Lumumbowo and exchange experiences.
