Post diploma studies `Financial Analysis and Investement - concentration on CFA® - level I` offered at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Lodz give the candidates a possibility to prepare for prestigious CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst®) level I exam organized by CFA Institute (

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation is the most respected and recognized investment management designation in the world. It is a certificate of quality in the financial investment world – most prestigious and most known financial institutions hire CFA charterholders professionals to deliver high quality work for their clients all over the world. Acquiring CFA designation brings high added value  for future employees and employers (among top employers of CFA we have such institutions like: JP Morgan Chase, USB, etc.).

All over the world the remuneration of CFA charterholder is in the highest percentiles (see report for Poland: Finance & Accounting Salary Survey 2016,
The program is based on CFA Institute Curriculum, focusing on the exam, rich in international content and taught in English. Additionally after passing internal University of Lodz exams the participant will receive an official diploma of the University of Lodz.

CFA is the most respected and recognized investment management designation in the world therefore we put a lot of effort to hire specialist (PhDs) in each of the taught discipline - our teachers are assistant professors with private sector and long time working experience at Faculty of Economics and Sociology.

Brief characteristic of the studies

  • Our studies and all courses are in English – because of the language of the curriculum and CFA exam itself
  • Study by subject and level – to offer courses of specific subjects of the CFA curriculum, adapted exactly for the purpose of examination
  • Focus on the exam – time pressure, quick thinking, implementation concepts, tests, useful exam’s and test’s tips
  • International context of the study – as in the CFA curriculum

Curriculum and schedule

The curriculum is rich and prepares you for many different tasks in international investing environment.
Our post-graduation studies prepare you for taking CFA exam by providing curriculum based on CFA Institute curriculum.
Preliminary schedule of the courses: starting in mid-January and finishing in mid-May, just before the CFA Institute exam (in mid-June).

Length of the studies

We provide 200 hours of classes – the meetings are on Saturdays and Sunday.

Time: the courses start in mid-January and finishing in mid-May.
Place:  The Faculty Of Economics And Sociology, the University of Lodz, POW Street 3/5, 90-255 Łódź


After passing all the exams and earning 30 ECTS points you will receive the official diploma of the Univeristy of Lodz.


  • Bachelor or Master diploma
  • Sufficient command of English


The cost of the studies is 850 EUR. The payment must be made on individual bank account number that will be printed out in the agreement between the Faculty and the candidate.


Applications for studies are accepted between 1st of Mat and 30th of November every year.
